Charlemagne, crowned in the year 800 as the first Holy Roman Emperor, became known as the father of Europe. His court was not only a center of power but also of learning, refinement, and artistry.
This set draws inspiration from that tradition. Each piece is handcrafted with intricate detail, echoing the grandeur of medieval courts and the artistry of European craftsmanship. The design emphasizes weight and presence, making every move feel deliberate, as though played in the halls of a royal palace.
The board rests upon an elegant chess table, built with both form and function in mind. At ~24 inches square, it provides ample space for play while serving as a striking piece of furniture in its own right.
Much like the empire Charlemagne built, this is not a set meant to be hidden away. It is designed to be part of a room.
