Our Founders

We were founded by Ansh and Christopher, two brothers-in-law united by a love for chess and a desire to create something extraordinary. Our journey began thousands of miles apart—Ansh in Bangalore, India, and Christopher in London, UK.

Christopher spent most of his twenties traveling, and no matter where he went, he found a community gathered around a chessboard. It was a universal language, a way to connect and share stories with people from all walks of life. Ansh likewise traveled the world, however he was studying the craft of woodworking. After incorporating techniques from Asia, Europe and the US, he opened his own workshop in India where he oversees the production of custom made, luxury woodwork.

We both grew up with chess, fascinated by its deep strategy and timeless artistry. For us, few things are better than a quiet evening spent contemplating the next move, perhaps with a glass of whisky or a cup of coffee in hand.
